Racing Team
The dogs on this site are our first choice on the team. But everyone of our Siberians are
trained equally and everyone have tried races. The below mentioned dogs are just "first choise". Why! These are the dogs
we have. So the choise isn't that hard. It forces us to handle every single dog according to their best, and always
secure that they are comftable working with the team. And that's exactly what it's all about. If a dog is not comftable working in our team, either we must change our way of handling the dog, or someone else maybe is a better owner of this particular dog.

Roopi (2002-05-08):
Roopi is from Stalos Kennel, Sweden, Insjön. Roopi was Sofias leaddog through many races in 2006. Roopi is a gentle and very sweet little bitch with a fantastic head for leading. She often raise the speed of the team under training and take every command very nice. She is maybe the easiest Siberian Husky I have ever tried in harness. She is the one to raise Siberians who is born to run but not yet raised to win. The first Siberian, hawling and barking when I just get near the transporter and take out the lines. She is very, very eager to go in harness. Not a rocket in the team, but got pretty good endurance capabilities in her. 99% of the times training, she is very focused. When she is not, I am able to give her commands to encourage her to hold focus. She listens.
Status end of season 2009/2010
This season, Roopi continued her positive attitude towards everything and everybody. She is now almost 8 yeasr old, and still going strong on the team. She still isn't the fastest husky in the team, but she is fast enough and she still shows good endurance capabilities. Roopi never gives up on the trail, loping 95% of the time. If she would trot a bit more, she could run down the sun. Roopi now is in point position more than lead, due to our bitch Bliss' fantastic development as a leaddog. Still, it seems like Roopi has a great influence on the whole team, also in point-position. Roopi is still a part of our main team, without a doubt.
Great eater and drinker, also on the road.
Position in team:
Point/lead.

Vakarevo's Bliss of Triton (2005-12-19):
Bliss is Baltos and Blades sister. Bliss came to Team Husky Horizon march the 20. 2008. We know Bliss from several training sessions with Vakarevo's, the breeder and former owner of Bliss.
She really use every muscle and bone in her body, giving her self 100%.
Bliss is a soft and totally lovely little bitch. She is very silent and carefull when she is putted in harness and on the dragline. But when the team is ready and You loosen the brake... Oh s..., she runs fast. And she can hold the speed for a very, very long time. Not a strong bitch uphill... we thought. But her only 18,8 kg, works like 25 kg. I just love that Sibe. Allways first choise to the team in races. In Kosta 2008 she wasn't able to race, and I really missed her at the dragline. Bliss has grown very smart during the last Year and is our first choise leaddog.
Eating and drinking are very good.
Status end of season 2009/2010
This season, October the 21, Bliss delivered 5 very nice puppies. Ofcourse that meant a set-back in training for her, and not until late january she was on the team for full again. Taking care of her body and bones, we gave her a slow start. The way she came back on the team, the focus she shows now is nothing less but exeptional. Bliss is even more fantastic now than before she gave birth to her first litter. She and her brother Balto are working together in front of our team, and they are doing an undescibeable good job. Bliss is everything you could dream of, thinking of a working Siberian.

Vakarevo's Balto of Triton (2005-12-19):
Balto is our first working Siberian Husky. He is breeded by Henning and Marie Schnoor in Sweden, Kennel Vakarevo's. Balto is our main leader in training and races.
Always focused on the job. He is constantly developing as a sleddog and gets better and better. Fast and focused leaddog. Very, very eager to go on training without causing any kind of troubles or panic at all. Stabil on the team, perfect in takeovers and head- on passing. Passing forrest mashines, bikes, joggers, etc. without getting stressed and without loosing his focus. Haven't seen a stressed diareah from him, ever. If somebody should ask me about how a Siberian should act, run, look like, etc. I just point at Balto.
A fairly eater and drinker.
Status end of season 2009/2010
No doubt. Balto is our lead numero uno. When we are on new tracks, that is. On known tracks he tends to be a PAIN IN THE ASS.
Balto is the most selfconfident dog on the team. Leading his teammates in a very dedicated and fantasic way when I challenge the team. To break trails after snow, he just does to perfection. Balto is controlling hes energy very nice this year, and we can now begin to take some pretty long runs. He is always ready to go out for a run again, after a short break. Balto has a nice effective lope and his trot is looking very easy and relaxed. Still he is the fastest dog on our team when he gives all hes got. But he seldom do. Why? Saving energy.

Vakarevo's Blade of Triton (2005-12-19):
Blade is Baltos brother. Blade came to Team Husky Horizon march the 20. 2008. We know Blade from several training sessions with Vakarevo's, the breeder and former owner of Blade. Blade is a hardworking and happy Siberian. When I take a walk in the playground, Blade is very often very near to me. He enjoys to be near us and to be talked to. He seeks our company.
As a working Husky, Blade fulfill every hope You can have for a Siberian. He is always fokused 120%. He loves to run in harness. Blade has one special gift. He can trot more than 25 km/t, and hold that speed for a very long time, just trotting.
Blade has an insane attitude before takeoff.
A very good eater and drinker.
Status end of season 2009/2010
Blade has developed into maybe the most honest working dog in the team. He isn't as fast and as clever as his brother Balto, but he is a more honest working dog, meaning that he always works his but off in the team. This season has been a challenge to Blade, as we have been training with lower speed and longer distances with heavier load. A tough job for Blade, as he likes speed and has a insane attitude about running. But actually he has grown a lot in mind this season, and now is a lot better than last season.

Krølle Bølle's Avus (2007-03-24):
One of three puppies we bought and took in our team in june 2007. A silent but very hardworking Siberian. Nice to everybody and like to be petted. Avus is a bit soft in temper, but his selfconfidence is growing every day.
Allways on the team. Hardworking and fast. 100% focused on the job. Sometimes You will not notice him when he is a part of the team in front of a wagon or sled. But try to take him off the team, and You'll know that something important is missing.
Eating and drinking like a vaacumer.
Status end of season 2009/2010
Avus still is in the top 4 of our racing Siberians. Very diciplined on the team and a very honest working dog. Like to work a bit "under cover" in the team, not making a lot of noise out of himself. Avus is very, very fast at sprint distances. Even though he learned to save energi for distances up to 25 km, this season.

Ulvedalen's Bauge (27-04-2008):
Bauge is our latest member of our team. He was breeded and raised for the first 10 weeks by Kennel Ulvedalen. We decided to book one puppy from that particular litter, because we already new the bitch; Fenrisulven Tir, from several trainingsessions and visits at Ulvedalen. The results in sleddog racing that Anneliese Braun-Witschel and Manfred Witschel from Alka-Shan Kennel have shown, are fantastic. And the stud to breed Tir was Alka-Shan's Low-Limit (nr. 1 in WM in Aasarna, Sweden. Middle-distance 3x52 km).
Status end of season 2009/2010
Bauge, Bauge, Bauge. Dear Husky God. Please send me a manual for turning this dogs attitude down a bit on training. He can't possibly hold for more than 15 km with the power and energi he's putting in his paws from first yard after take-off. That's exactly what I thougt at the start of this season. Now, only two years old, he has shown that he can run with the same energi much longer. He is not the fastest dog in the team meassured in top-speed. But when it comes to hold a pretty good speed over a pretty good distance, he's one of a kind.
Position in team:
You just choose one. Bauge, he dosn't care. He just do the job.
